Mapping Vanco Members to QB Donors

When a new donor establishes a Vanco account and their first donation comes in, their Vanco Member ID must be mapped to the donor name as it appears in QuickBooks. Figure 1 depicts how the "VancoWork" identifies donations for new Vanco donors. Note that when a donor is not known to QuickBooks, the Vanco member name is prefixed by "New_". Vanco members that cannot be mapped to existing QuickBooks donors will cause a new QuickBooks donor to be added with this name. In the case of Tammy Wynn in the figure, a QuickBooks donor is known to exist so you would establish the mapping as described below.

Mapping a new Vanco member to a QuickBooks donor

In the case depicted in Figure 1, you would establish the mapping from the Vanco member "Tammy Wynn" to the QuickBooks donor "Wynn, Deedra & Tammy" using these steps:

Switch to the "ID>Donor" tab (see Figure 2)
On the first blank row, Enter Tammy's Vanco Member ID and her Vanco Member Name
Click the carat in the "QB Name" column or start typing "tam"
Select "Wynn, Deedra & Tammy" from the dropdown list
