PayPal Giving Fund Donations

First Congregational Church accepts online donations through the PayPal Giving Fund by browsing to our donation page or by scanning the QR code below. FCC's donation page and activity on our account are accessible at the PayPal Giving Fund website. There are no fees associated

Donating in this fashion differs from the other on-line options in significant ways:

Only one-time donations are possible, but it is suitable for large donations.
The PayPal Giving Fund is a 501(c)3 organization and provides tax receipts to the donor.
Funds are automatically transferred to FCC's PayPal account around the 25th of each month.

Recording PayPal Giving Fund Receipts in QuickBooks

Office@fortworthucc.org will receive an email notification for each donation.

Navigate to the PayPal Giving Fund's Activity page to retrieve the donation details.
Navigate to Transactions>Chart of Accounts in QuickBooks and view the register for account "10754 PayPal Giving Fund".
Edit the most recent Sales Receipt and click on "More>Copy" to create a copy of the receipt.
Using the information from the PayPal Giving Fund website:

Change the Donor and receipt date.
For the Reference no, enter the Transaction ID.
Specify "PayPal Giving Fund" as the payment method and "10754" as the Deposit To account.
Change the Product/Service, description and use the net receipt as the amount.
Click "Save and send" to send the donor a copy of the Sales Receipt or "Save and close" to skip sending the Sales Receipt.

Recording a Transfer from the Giving Fund to PayPal

Funds donated through the PayPal Giving Fund are automatically transferred to the church's PayPal account around the 25th of each month at which point you will receive a notification email. A transfer transaction must be created in QuickBooks.

Navigate to Transactions>Recurring transactions in QuickBooks.
Locate the recurring transaction "Transfer Giving Fund" and click "Use".
Change the date and the amount of the transfer.
Click "Save and Close".

The funds will remain on the church's PayPal account until they are transferred using the steps outlined on the PayPal Donations page.
